v2.3.6
New
- Per-shader selection — each shader pack in the shader picker can now be expanded to show its individual
.fxfiles. Tick only the shaders you want rather than deploying the full pack. The pack checkbox shows a dash when a partial selection is active, and a tick when all files are included. - Shader profiles — save, load, rename, and delete named shader selections using the new Profiles panel on the right side of the shader picker. Profiles store both pack selection and per-file exclusions, and can be loaded in the per-game shader picker too.
- Export shader selection — the Export button zips your currently selected shader files and copies the archive to your clipboard, ready to paste into Discord or use as a backup.
- Import shader profile — the Import button in the shader picker lets you load a profile archive exported by RHI. The profile is added to your profile list and, if you don't already have the shader packs cached, the files are extracted from the archive automatically.
- Keep ReShade.ini Updated — new per-game option in the ReShade ⚙ cog. Set to No to prevent RHI from touching that game's reshade.ini automatically — Apply to All Games, ReShade installs, and updates will all skip it, preserving any manual edits you've made.
- OptiScaler upscaler selector — the OptiScaler ⚙ cog now has a two-combo upscaler row. Pick the graphics API on the left (DX11, DX12, or Vulkan) and the upscaler on the right. Options update automatically based on the selected API and write directly to
OptiScaler.ini. - DOF Fix can now be installed without ReShade being managed by RHI. Unchecking ReShade in the Global Update Inclusion dialog unlocks the DOF Fix install button, consistent with how RenoDX, ReLimiter, and Display Commander already behave.
- RHI will now file your taxes, negotiate your mortgage, walk your dog, and attend your cousin's wedding on your behalf. Results may vary. RHI accepts no liability for family disputes arising from the wedding attendance feature.
Changes
- On standard refresh, RHI now re-checks games that were previously confirmed to have no DLSS. If DLSS files have since appeared (e.g. a preloaded game that received its content on release), the game is picked up automatically without needing a Full Refresh.
- The shader picker now has Expand All / Collapse All and Deselect All buttons for faster navigation.
- Added "Effect list style" setting in Settings → Screenshots & Hotkeys. Defaults to Tabs, which groups shaders into named tabs in the ReShade overlay instead of a flat tree. Apply to All Games writes the setting to all managed reshade.ini files.
- The Upgrade Path option in the UE-Extended compatibility settings cog now shows "HDR / Off" and "SDR / On" instead of bare numbers, making the setting self-explanatory.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed enabling the DLL naming override toggle corrupting OptiScaler and ReShade filenames when OptiScaler had renamed ReShade during install. RHI's in-memory record of ReShade's filename was stale, causing the wrong file to be renamed and the other to be deleted.
- Fixed
dxgi.dllmissing from the ReShade filename dropdown when OptiScaler was using it. The name is now always shown — selecting it is blocked only if it would actually conflict with an installed component. - Fixed turning off DLL naming overrides leaving ReShade stuck at
ReShade64.dllwhen OptiScaler occupieddxgi.dll. RHI now reverts OptiScaler's filename first, freeingdxgi.dllbefore ReShade tries to reclaim it. When ReShade was atdxgi.dlland OptiScaler at a custom name, the revert now moves ReShade aside and restores both to their correct default names. - Fixed NVIDIA Profile Overrides panel not appearing after installing OptiScaler on a game that previously had no DLSS. RHI now clears the DLSS skip cache immediately on OptiScaler install so the next Refresh detects the new files correctly.
- Fixed DLSS version dropdown showing an incorrect version when a DLSS build not in the manifest is installed. The actual installed version is now shown correctly.
- Fixed Streamline version not being detected when
sl.interposer.dllis absent. RHI now falls back tosl.common.dllfor version detection. - Fixed Streamline restore failing after the in-game backup files were already consumed by a previous restore. RHI now keeps a compressed backup of the game's original Streamline DLLs in AppData as a fallback, so restore always works even after repeated attempts.
- Fixed Streamline being deployed at the wrong version when OptiScaler is installed on a game that never had Streamline before.
- Fixed a race condition where concurrent shader pack updates could fail to save their version cache, causing the same packs to re-download on every launch.
- Fixed DLL naming override toggle incorrectly appearing as enabled for games where OptiScaler had previously been installed and uninstalled, causing ReShade to install under the wrong filename.
- Fixed
CrashReportClient.exebeing picked as the auto-detected launch executable for games that include it in their install folder.
Manifest Updates
- Fixed Engine.ini config path detection for Satisfactory (uses
FactoryGameas its AppData folder name). - Fixed Ball x Pit incorrectly detected as 32-bit.
