v2.2.6
New
- UE-Extended default for generic UE games — any Unreal Engine game without a named RenoDX mod now installs UE-Extended (
renodx-ue-extended.addon64) automatically. Switch back to the standard generic addon via the UE-Extended dropdown (set to Off) in the RenoDX ⚙ dialog. Your choice persists across restarts. - RTX HDR Settings improvements
- Gamma preset buttons (2.0, 2.2, 2.4) below the Contrast slider for quick selection.
- Middle Grey is now a slider (10–100) with an Auto button that calculates the ITU-correct value from your Peak Brightness and Gamma settings.
- Save as Default / Set Default buttons — save your preferred RTX HDR settings once and apply them to any game with one click.
- Debanding is greyed out when not running as admin (requires elevated privileges to write).
- RTX HDR now defaults to Gamma 2.2 with ITU-correct Middle Grey when first enabled, instead of the flat Gamma 2.0 default.
Changes
- ReShade Settings cog — added per-game Overlay Key and Screenshot Key pickers. Click the field and press any key to capture it, then hit Apply. Writes to all
reshade*.inifiles in the game folder so all swapchain configs stay in sync (important for Vulkan games that create multiple ReShade instances). - Import Profiles confirmation — the Import button in Settings now shows a warning that the operation is irreversible, and notes if admin-only settings (e.g. ReBAR) will be skipped due to insufficient privileges.
- ReLimiter Settings — Target FPS and DLSS Hooks controls are now greyed out when no
relimiter.iniexists in the game folder. Deploy the ini first to enable them.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed RE Framework showing a pending update on every launch. The update check was using the oldest installed record (e.g. an old DMC5 install from a previous version) as the comparison version, causing it to always detect a newer remote. Now uses the highest installed version across all RE Engine games for the comparison.
- Fixed Game Pass games not launching — clicking Launch did nothing because there was no Xbox launch path. Game Pass games are now launched via their App User Model ID (
shell:AppsFolder\{AUMID}), the correct activation method for packaged GDK/UWP games. - Fixed RTX HDR on/off state not reflecting changes made outside RHI (e.g. via NVIDIA App or after a driver update). The toggle now reads the live driver profile on every refresh and when opening the ⚙ dialog, keeping RHI in sync.
- Fixed RTX HDR settings not being included in the Export Profile backup. All 6 RTX HDR settings are now exported and correctly restored on import, including using raw NVAPI on the import path (NvAPIWrapper silently ignores these setting IDs).
- Fixed ReLimiter Update All silently failing to update
ul_meta.jsonafter a session restart — the update deployed the new binary but the version file kept the old version, causing the update indicator to reappear on every launch. - Fixed ReShade overlay hotkey and screenshot hotkey being reset to RHI's configured value whenever RHI deployed
reshade.ini. The root issue was thatApplyOverlayHotkeyandApplyScreenshotHotkeyalways unconditionally overwrote the key — so any time RHI touched the ini (ReShade update, INI button, etc.) with a non-default hotkey configured in Settings, it stamped over whatever the user had set in-game. These functions now preserve existing values unless the caller explicitly requests an overwrite (used by the "Apply to All Games" actions in Settings).
