v1.9.4
Bug Fixes
- Fixed DXVK staging downloading all 3 variants on every startup, causing GitHub API rate limiting for users with fresh installs. Only the globally selected variant is now downloaded at startup — other variants are fetched on-demand when a per-game override needs them.
v1.9.3
New Features
- Per-Game ReShade Channel Override — Override the global ReShade build channel (Stable/Nightly) per game from the Overrides panel. Switching channels instantly reinstalls ReShade — no manual update needed. Vulkan games warn that the change applies to all Vulkan games since they share a global layer.
- Per-Game DXVK Variant Override — Override the global DXVK variant per game from the Overrides panel. The "DXVK Variant" dropdown appears next to the DXVK toggle with options: Global, Development, Stable, Lilium HDR. Switching variants instantly reinstalls DXVK.
- DXVK Lilium HDR Variant — A third DXVK variant from EndlesslyFlowering. Upgrades the swap chain to scRGB for HDR output on DX8/DX9/DX10 games. The appropriate HDR dxvk.conf settings are deployed automatically when this variant is selected.
Changes
- Switching the global ReShade channel or DXVK variant in Settings now instantly reinstalls all affected games (respecting per-game overrides) instead of requiring manual update.
- All ReShade and DXVK variants are now downloaded and kept up to date simultaneously in separate folders, enabling instant switching without re-downloading.
- Existing users will have their ReShade and DXVK staging folders migrated automatically on first launch.
- ReShade nightly update detection improved — now reliably detects new builds.
QoL
- The "Save Custom Filter" dialog now pre-populates the filter name with the current search text.
- Toolbar redesigned: "Global Shaders" and "ReShade Addons" combined into a single "Shaders/Addons" dropdown. New "Links" dropdown with RenoDX Wiki, Luma Wiki, RHI GitHub, ReLimiter GitHub, and Display Commander GitHub. View toggle replaced with a "Views" dropdown (Compact, Detail, Grid).
- Games installed via Steam but detected by EA/Ubisoft/etc now correctly show the Steam badge when the install path is in a Steam folder. Requires a Full Refresh.
- "Add Game" flow simplified: click the button, pick the game's exe, then name it. No more confusing name-first workflow.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed custom screenshot hotkey not being applied to reshade.ini on fresh game installs.
- Fixed DXVK per-game variant override not deploying the correct DLLs or dxvk.conf when the variant was changed before enabling the toggle.
