v1.9.0
Highlights
Instant Launch — The game list now appears instantly on startup. On subsequent launches, the app loads your library from cache and displays it immediately — no more waiting for game detection and network fetches. The full scan runs silently in the background and merges any changes (new games, updated statuses) into the already-visible list.
New Features
- Ultrawide fix links now appear on game cards. If a game has an ultrawide/resolution fix available from Lyall, RoseTheFlower, or p1xel8ted, a "UW Fix" button shows next to the Nexus and PCGW buttons. Clicking it opens the fix page directly. All three sources are fetched once and cached for 24 hours. Manifest overrides available for edge cases where automatic name matching fails.
- Ultra+ links now appear on game cards. If a game has an Ultra+ mod on theultraplace.com, an "Ultra+" button shows next to the other link buttons. Clicking it opens the Ultra+ page for that game directly.
- Typing "UW Fix" or "Ultra+" in the search bar now filters to games that have those links, just like searching for engine names or authors.
- Nexus, PCGW, UW Fix, and Ultra+ link buttons are now underlined with a hand cursor on hover.
Performance
- Update checks now have a 4-hour cooldown. Launching the app multiple times no longer hammers the GitHub API — checks are skipped if the last successful check was recent. Full Refresh bypasses the cooldown when you need to force a check.
- GitHub API rate limiting is now detected and handled gracefully. If a 403 is received, all remaining API calls for the session are skipped instead of each one failing independently.
- Shader packs from GitHub Releases (Lilium, PumboAutoHDR) no longer call the API on every startup. If the files are already cached and extracted, the check is skipped entirely.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed games multiplying in the sidebar until they achieved world domination. Some games (e.g. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Indiana Jones) could appear up to six times from the same store due to the v1.8.9 dedup change using install path as the uniqueness key. Paths that varied slightly between scans or cache entries were treated as separate games. Deduplication now keys on game name + store instead of game name + path, so each store can only contribute one entry per game. Existing duplicates in the cached library are cleaned up automatically on launch.
Manifest Updates
- Satisfactory now installs to the correct
Engine\Binaries\Win64subfolder. - Indiana Jones DLC blacklisted (Xbox Store dash-variant names).
