Nightjar 4.2.1 adds View options to Home on Android, Android TV, Windows and Linux, moves Disconnect near the top of the stream menu, and tidies Settings on TVs (#7).
Home
- Home has a View button: show games as a grid or in rows, grouped by store or as one library, at a small, medium or large card size. Phones, tablets and TVs keep their usual look until you change it.
- On a TV, the grid scrolls only up and down.
- A game or app name too long for its tile scrolls along its line while the tile has focus, so the artwork stays visible.
- Desktop: the same View options on Home, and a long game name scrolls under its focused cover.
Stream menu
- Disconnect (and on Android Quit game) moved from the bottom of the stream menu to near its top, one press down with a TV remote or controller. The menu still opens on a row that doesn't leave the stream.
Android TV
- On a TV, Settings are more compact (85 % of the interface size); the PCs and the library keep their size.
- Leaving Settings search hides the empty search field, and the search row brings back your last query and results.
- On a TV, the Settings sidebar shows focus as a ring at once, and the open section in amber.
Tested. The Android and desktop unit tests, lint and the release builds pass.
The APKs are signed by CI with the Nightjar release key; the desktop packages (Windows installer and zip; Linux .deb, .rpm, AppImage and tar.gz) are not signed. SHA-256 hashes of everything are in SHA256SUMS-4.2.1.txt.
