PyroWave presentation now follows host frame timing in paced modes, handles screen rotation in its existing rendering pass, and overlaps decoding with display work.
- Smoother pacing: Balanced, Balanced with FPS limit and Smoothest video use host timestamps and measured display timing when available. Lowest latency and VRR keep immediate presentation.
- Adaptive submission timing: Supported drivers provide presentation feedback to learn how early frames need to be submitted. Timing resets after pauses and output changes, with bounded buffering to keep delay from accumulating.
- Rotation in one pass: Color conversion and upscaling handle rotated screens directly, including letterboxing and reverse-landscape changes.
- Overlapping decode and display: Up to two decodes can run in flight. Compatible devices use separate decode and presentation queues.
- Clearer measurements: CPU submission time appears separately from completed decode latency. Completed timings still drive stream-health and automatic-bitrate decisions.
Install nightjar-0.7.5.apk over the existing app to preserve PCs, pairing identity and settings. The in-app updater is available from version 0.7.1 onward. The -root.apk is the legacy rooted build for Android 5.0–7.1; most users should use the normal APK. The AAB and SHA-256 checksums are also included.
