This release adds easier game launcher exports and improves remote and gamepad navigation across the app and stream controls.
- Beacon and game launchers. Export games to Beacon, ES-DE, Daijisho or Pegasus from PC settings → Add games to a launcher. Nightjar remembers successful export folders per PC and launcher and includes setup instructions and copyable commands.
- Fire TV and other remotes. D-pad and Select can navigate Nightjar and send arrows/Enter to the PC while streaming; Back and Menu open Nightjar's stream controls.
- Handheld Back button. Enable Settings → Controls → Physical Back opens stream menu to use the device's physical Back button for the stream menu.
- More usable menus. Settings and dialogs respond to D-pad navigation and B/Back/Escape, including help screens and confirmation cancellation.
The release APKs support arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86 and x86_64. Install nightjar-0.7.13.apk over your current installation to retain settings and paired PCs. nightjar-0.7.13-root.apk is the legacy rooted build for Android 5.0–7.1. The AAB and SHA-256 checksums are also included.
Validation passed: 3,799 Android unit tests across both variants (4 skipped, no failures), release lint, and CI native regression and sanitizer checks. The signed 0.7.13 APK updated 0.7.12 in an Android emulator, retained the signing identity, and launched without Android runtime errors. Fire TV Stick, AYN Thor and a live Beacon frontend were not available for physical-device validation.
