Desktop controls now use one compact toolbar, leaving more of the stream visible. Three- and four-finger taps can open the keyboard and mouse panel directly.
Tip
Choose Settings → Controls → Four-finger tap → Keyboard & mouse to open or hide the panel with a quick four-finger tap. You can assign the same action to Three-finger tap. Three fingers still open the Phone keyboard by default; four fingers start Off.
- A smaller toolbar. Mode and key-bank selectors share one row, freeing 36 dp in the default keyboard and Combined layouts. Keys keep their size, and saved custom panel heights are preserved.
- Configurable tap shortcuts. Set either gesture to Keyboard & mouse, Phone keyboard, Middle click, or Off. The shortcuts work in Trackpad, Direct mouse, and Local cursor modes.
- Modifiers survive bank selection. Select Ctrl, Alt, Shift or Win, switch banks, then press a key to send the combination. The bank picker stays in the toolbar and keeps the stream’s focus.
- More reliable gesture handling. Four fingers never also trigger the three-finger action. Canceled touches and reordered finger lifts are handled through the end of the gesture.
- Visible controls with larger text. Fixed-size arrows, keyboard, settings and close icons remain visible at 200% text size. The new settings and labels are available in all 15 supported app languages.
Automated checks cover both app flavors, saved settings, modifiers, and multi-finger gesture handling. Phone and Fold-sized emulator layouts were checked in portrait and landscape, including German labels and large text. Physical-device gesture testing is still pending.
Install nightjar-0.7.10.apk over your current installation to keep paired PCs and settings. The -root.apk is the legacy rooted build for Android 5.0–7.1. Both APKs support arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86 and x86_64. The AAB and SHA-256 checksums are also included.
