Proxyman Windows/Linux: 26.1.0: Overview, Script Templates & WebSocket Scripting

Features

  • Overview: See a live summary of your traffic in Capture > Overview, with charts for requests, bandwidth, status codes, top apps and domains, slow requests and errors. Copy or save it as Markdown.
  • Script Templates: Start from ready-made scripts in the Scripting editor. Filter them, copy a snippet, or replace your script with one.
  • WebSocket Scripting: Log, edit, drop and send WebSocket messages with onWebsocket(). Turn on Modify WebSocket Messages in the Script Editor to change them.
  • Windows installer: Choose Recommended, or Custom to pick the install folder. Updates still install silently.

Improvements

  • The Raw tab in Compose and Breakpoint now shows and edits the body, not only the first line and headers.
  • The main table stays smooth with 100,000 requests during heavy traffic, and Auto Select keeps following the newest request.
  • The Script Editor's Console Log now stays on the right, with filter, clear and hide, and shows JSON logs without escaping.
  • Scripting: writeToFile() expands ~ and creates missing folders, isFileExists() is available, and JSON and form bodies are parsed whatever the case of Content-Type.
  • Android Emulator setup finds system images when adb comes from Debian/Ubuntu or Google's Platform Tools, and finds Android SDKs in custom folders.
  • MCP: New get_traffic_overview and list_script_templates tools, and WebSocket scripting support.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed: The main table keeps its sort after restarting Proxyman.
  • Fixed: Requests and responses held at a Breakpoint no longer fail with "socket hang up" after 30 seconds.
  • Fixed: Compose and Repeat send http:// and ws:// requests without the root certificate, and no longer show an extra "Oops! Something went wrong" over the Setup Guide.
  • Fixed: Proxyman asks to regenerate a root certificate from before 3.19.0 that Chrome rejects with ERR_SSL_SERVER_CERT_BAD_FORMAT, such as on PCs whose name has an underscore.
  • Fixed: Proxyman can turn the Windows system proxy on and off, and restore your previous proxy on quit, when registry editing is disabled by policy. If it still can't, it shows how to set the proxy yourself.
  • Fixed: Checking for updates and other Proxyman requests work on networks that inspect HTTPS with a company certificate.
  • Fixed: Large requests and responses no longer hang when the disk is full.
  • Fixed: When a WebSocket server disconnects abruptly, Proxyman closes the client connection too, after delivering the last messages. Binary messages from the server are no longer listed as from the client.
  • Fixed: Proxyman no longer crashes when the terminal that opened it closes on Linux, when the proxy stops while a connection is opening, or when quitting stops MCP twice.
  • Fixed: Turning MCP off and on quickly keeps it running.
  • Fixed: Changing a checkbox in the Scripting editor no longer activates a script that wasn't saved.
