New features

Exclusive fullscreen

Choose Settings → Graphics → Display mode → Exclusive fullscreen to give the game control of the display while focused. Switching to another window releases it; returning restores fullscreen. Display changes apply live with a 15-second confirmation timer and automatically revert if they cannot be applied or are not confirmed. Borderless fullscreen remains the default.

Full stock Forge palette on mod maps and campaign canvases

Forge on mod maps and campaign canvases now includes the combined palettes of all installed stock multiplayer maps, alongside building primitives. Existing saved variants keep their native objects and imported content.

Native mod scenery and crates can also be frozen when the mod lists them outside the Scenery category. Frozen objects remain saved with the map.

Improved stability when loading the combined palette on large mod maps.

Custom vote images and improved map selection

Give each playlist entry its own voting image: put a PNG or JPEG in the server's Images folder and enter its filename in Vote image. Images can be up to 4 MiB; players receive them directly from the server with size and decoding limits.

Right-click a saved map variant to edit its name and description. Stock map details stay protected. The host and playlist map pickers now have Multiplayer and Campaign filters, with Multiplayer selected by default.

Mod maps now use their own names and descriptions even when they reuse a stock map's identity, and no longer list unrelated stock variants beneath them.

Megalo modes and Conquest

Megalo scripts can now run on all ten supported multiplayer game types. Authors can choose the native mode with mode-compile --mode or use a matching template. A new Conquest example uses Territories: capture flags, hold a majority to drain enemy tickets, and protect your team's remaining tickets. Each side starts with 300 tickets, with a 30-minute round limit and a dedicated ticket HUD.

Changes

  • More ways to enter the faction battle. In UNSC vs Covenant, both factions earn 25 deployment points every 30 seconds, including while waiting to deploy. Jackal Shieldbearers and Carbine Specialists are free, Brute Minors cost 100, and Elite Minors cost 150. Deployment also recovers more reliably when world objects cannot be read.

Bug fixes

  • Fix a crash after deleting Forge objects. Fixed a crash that could occur after objects were deleted during Forge games.

  • Automatically retry server browsing with fewer simultaneous queries. When most server queries time out, the browser now retries with fewer servers at once, down to one at a time. It remembers a working limit for future refreshes, helping connections where direct joins work but the browser stays empty. No manual tuning is needed. To choose a limit yourself, use Settings → Online Services → Server Discovery → Server query batch size. Choose Automatic there to clear a remembered limit.

  • Identify matching player names and prevent vote-kick evasion. Voice labels and kick votes now show the same identifying suffix as chat, such as Player (A7B). Use /vote kick Player (A7B) [reason] to select the intended player when names match.

Answer active votes in chat with !yes or !no, alongside the existing F5/F6 keys and slash commands.

Leaving during an active kick vote now counts as a kick and applies the normal rejoin cooldown. Disconnecting and immediately rejoining can no longer avoid it.
