PokeRogueOffline v1.12.0.25
Your save now backs up to the cloud automatically every 5 waves, and it never overwrites a newer save from another device. Dropbox is now available alongside Google Drive: pick your provider in Settings, and existing Google Drive setups carry over unchanged. When you sign in and a backup is found, the game asks once per session whether you want to restore it.
Two new optional settings, both off by default: Damage Range shows expected damage as a percentage of the enemy's HP (or OHKO, 2HKO, or Breaks Shield), and Enemy HP % shows the enemy's remaining HP as a percentage, including boss shields. Navigation buttons no longer disappear on touch devices in the Offline tab. Sync and Dropbox are new, so please report anything odd.
PokeRogue-Offline v1.12.0.25: Automatic cloud backup, Dropbox support, and damage preview
The version has been bumped to accomadate a bug in my update notification system
Automatic backup
- Your save now backs up to the cloud automatically every 5 waves, the same checkpoint the online game uses.
- It only uploads when something has changed, and at most once every 5 minutes.
- Auto-backup never overwrites a newer save. If you played on another device, the automatic upload holds off instead of replacing that progress with an older save.
- Manual save works as before and always overwrites.
- Loading a backup is always your choice. The game never downloads a save over your local one on its own.
Restore prompt on sign-in
When you sign in and a backup is found, the game asks once per session whether you want to restore it. This makes setting up a second device easier.
Choose your backup provider
- Settings now has a backup provider selector.
- Google Drive works as before. Existing backups and setups carry over with no changes.
- Dropbox is new for anyone who would rather not use Google. Backups are stored in a single file in the app's own folder.
- Only one provider is connected at a time. Connecting a new one signs out the old one.
- New Disconnect Account option forgets the active provider's stored sign-in, so your next connect is a fresh sign-in.
Damage preview (off by default)
Two new toggles in the Offline settings tab:
- Damage Range shows the expected damage next to each enemy in the Fight menu as a percentage of its max HP (for example "21%-38%"), or a KO label: OHKO, 2HKO, or Breaks Shield for bosses. It replaces the type-effectiveness multiplier while it's shown. Multi-hit moves show the per-hit range with a hit count (for example "×2-5 hits"). KO labels are based on the lowest damage roll and never assume a crit.
- Enemy HP % shows the enemy's current HP as a percentage of its total HP. Bosses also show remaining shields, for example "70% (2 shields)".
Fixes
- Navigation buttons no longer disappear on touch devices in the Offline tab.
Notes
-
Auto backup, Dropbox, and the damage preview are all new, so please report anything odd, especially if you play on more than one device.
-
Everything backup-related works with either provider.
