Stream-Mapparr v0.4 Changelog

This update is a major rewrite focused on significantly improving matching accuracy and functionality.

  • New Fuzzy Matching Engine: Channel matching has been completely overhauled. It no longer uses simple substring matching and has been replaced with an advanced fuzzy matching algorithm. This will find far more accurate matches, even when names aren't identical (e.g., "HBO" can now match "HBO US").
  • Multi-Stream Support: The "Add Stream(s) to Channels" action now adds all available matched streams (e.g., 4K, FHD, HD, SD versions) to a channel, sorted by quality. The previous version only added the single best-matched stream.
  • New Setting: "Fuzzy Match Threshold": A new slider has been added to the plugin settings to allow you to control how sensitive the fuzzy matching is.
  • New Channel Database: The plugin no longer uses the old channels.txt and networks.json files. It now uses a new, more robust *_channels.json database system for greatly improved OTA and cable channel identification.
  • Bug Fix (Manage Channel Visibility): The "Manage Channel Visibility" action has been fixed. It now correctly enables only the single highest-priority channel from a matching group (e.g., it will enable "HBO [4K]" but leave "HBO [HD]" and "HBO [SD]" disabled), which was the intended behavior.
