Nightly build.
What's changed in 0.4.2141
- Icons move to Material Symbols Rounded: filled glyphs on the chips, outlined buttons in the search bar
- Developer test: turn arrows, stop lines and medians join the painted roads, with a California bake
- Developer test: lane lines, center lines, bike lanes and crosswalks drawn from map data at close zoom
- The route line no longer swerves around medians or zigzags, stop signs wait for a close zoom when browsing, and rail crossings stop covering lights
- Roads are drawn at their real width when zoomed in, the route line fills them, and every block's street is named
- Subway line badges are filled with the line's color so every letter is readable
- Speed humps and rail crossings show during a drive only when the route goes over them
- Turns keep only street names on the map while the camera swings, and subway lines show on bridges
- Route line no longer dips as it updates, subway lines cross the bridges, and line letters match the map theme
- Transit lines step aside while a driving route is on screen
- Short traffic jams show on the route preview instead of blending into the blue
- Translations from Weblate (#650)
- Downloaded maps are used online too, without the flicker when you zoom far out
- The arrow no longer swims against the map while you pan during navigation
- Address search: no second pin in the wrong place, and the exact address leads the list
- Subway lines show their letters, only stoplights you drive through are drawn, and the map no longer flickers zooming far out
- Smoother and lighter on battery: fewer redraws while parked, while dragging sheets and while driving
- Transit lines load across the whole view when you zoom out, and commuter rail no longer draws straight lines
- Navigation no longer says to merge onto a freeway you are already on
- Navigation: the street you turn onto is named at the corner, and stoplights off the route are no longer drawn
- Picture-in-picture: the bottom bar is the default, and a setting brings back the turn card
- Route line no longer flickers the driven route back in for a frame as you drive
- Picture-in-picture shows one bar along the bottom, like Google's mini map
- Trip playback keeps the camera in step with the replayed car through turns
- Transit lines in their own colors, and a choice of which lines and stops show
- Keep a downloaded update, and check it before installing
- The updater also holds back when Play started the install
- Transit: Depart at no longer lists the buses that arrive by that time
- A search for a place by name keeps a close view with one result in it
- Keep guidance in place on a road driven out and back, and search faster without Google
- Replay real Google lines in the tests, and fix what they showed
