Termux Launcher v0.2.25 — VAJ edition (io.vaj.tl, alongside official Termux)
A standalone Termux launcher package you can install alongside your existing upstream Termux app — it uses its own io.vaj.tl package prefix and embedded bootstrap.
Heads up: This edition pulls packages from a self-hosted APT repo at
repo.pathaym.xyz(yes, the URL looks sketchy — it was just a cheap domain that was handy). The packages there were rebuilt locally, so I can't promise the repo stays frequently updated. This edition is largely untested, and the standardcom.termuxedition remains the recommended one.
Added
- Termux AI — run LLMs locally, on-device, right inside the terminal. Two native backends, Google LiteRT and Alibaba's MNN, serve your models over OpenAI- and Ollama-compatible APIs. Runs on devices with a supported SoC and enough RAM (Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 or newer recommended). Quickest way to get going:
pkg i -y aichat. - New Valerie capsule dock — better AGSL glass blur, smoother dock physics, and refreshed animations and lighting.
- New app icon.
Changed
- The optional one-script setup now installs oh-my-posh as the shell prompt.
- Dynamic terminal colors and app-name labels are now on by default.
- Reworked open-source attribution and license notices; replaced the fuzzy app-search library with an in-house ranking engine.
Companion add-ons must be the matching -vaj-tagged forks (separate io.vaj.tl prefix — they share this launcher's signing key):
This edition ships arm64-v8a only. Debug-signed (testkey).
