Multiplayer Chart Support

GrooveAuthor now supports dance-routine, pump-routine, and smx-team charts. There is no player limit and charts can be saved in a format compatible with StepF2. More details are available in the Multiplayer Charts documentation.

Pack Properties

A new Pack Properties windows shows all songs in the pack for the currently open song. It can be used to quickly navigate between all the songs in a pack.

Other Features

• Keybindings for moving to the start and end of the current stream have been added.
• GrooveAuthor now checks for updates when launching.
• gif assets now animate.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed fakes being considered for the density graph.
• Fixed issue where NPS counts could be incorrect after some actions.
• Fixed crash on simfiles with the same property specified multiple times.
• Fixed last second hint using the wrong time when set through the Use Current Time button.
• Fixed copy/paste not working in text input fields. Regression from docked UI support in v0.3.0.
• Fixed alt/shift not altering speed of dragging controls. Regression from docked UI support in v0.3.0.
• Fixed audible artifact from overlapping assist ticks for steps before the song music starts.

Installation

Download GrooveAuthor-v0.4.0.zip and extract it to a desired location. To run GrooveAuthor open the GrooveAuthor folder and run GrooveAuthor.exe.

GrooveAuthor requires .Net Runtime 8.0.
