Public sharing arrives in YT Zero. Create optional, read-only links for individual videos and playlists, with controls for local-media access, link rotation, and revocation.
Downloaded video playback and the watch experience are smoother on mobile, including a more compact audio player and a more stable watch-page layout.
You can now choose how comments behave: keep them hidden, load them on scroll, or load them when a video opens. A new fallback image also improves videos without thumbnails.
YouTube cookie jars are kept current automatically, and the download settings now indicate when cookies are no longer working. Metadata lookups can also use your configured cookies when needed.
Imports and channel refreshes are more efficient through request coalescing and short-lived caching. This release also keeps tooltips within the screen, removes a duplicate queue tooltip, and includes several smaller usability fixes.
