Cable modem and fiber ONT monitoring - track your access network equipment's signal quality, power levels, and error rates over time.

What's New

  • Cable Modem Monitoring - Poll DOCSIS modems for downstream/upstream power, SNR, and FEC error rates. Supports Netgear CM (CM600, CM1000, CM1200, etc.) and ARRIS Surfboard (SB8200, SB6183) via HTTP scraping.
  • ONT Device Monitoring - Poll fiber ONTs for RX/TX power, temperature, voltage, and bias current. Supports AT&T residential gateways (BGW320, BGW210) and Realtek-based GPON sticks (ODI DFP-34X-2C2, V-SOL V2801F, T&W TWCGPON657, and other RTL960x modules).
  • Dashboard Panels - New Cable Modem Stats card and unified ONT Stats card that handles both SFP-based and device-polled ONTs with navigation between them.

CM Stats

  • New CM Stats tab on the Monitoring page with DS Power, DS SNR, US Power, and FEC Errors charts
  • FEC error chart shows both correctable and uncorrectable error deltas per interval
  • Settings section with provider selection, test connection, and polling interval

ONT Stats

  • New ONT Stats tab on the Monitoring page with RX/TX Power and Temperature charts
  • Unified dashboard panel shows SFP-based ONTs or device-polled ONTs (or both) with prev/next navigation
  • Empty state provides clear paths for SFP monitoring vs standalone ONT configuration
  • Settings section with AT&T Gateway, Realtek ONT Stick, and Generic HTTP ONT providers

Fixes

  • LanFlowMap startup resilience - Per-device InfluxDB query timeout on startup prevents cascade crashes when InfluxDB is slow after a restart.
  • Proxmox arm64 install - Skip AppArmor LXC config on hosts without AppArmor support, fixing installation on arm64 Proxmox (e.g., Raspberry Pi 5).

Installation

Windows: Download the MSI installer below

Docker:

docker compose pull && docker compose up -d

macOS (native, recommended for accurate speed tests vs Docker Desktop):

git clone https://github.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer.git && cd NetworkOptimizer && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh
# or if you already have it cloned
cd NetworkOptimizer && git pull && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh

Proxmox:

bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer/main/scripts/proxmox/install.sh)"

For other platforms (Synology, QNAP, Unraid, native Linux), see the Deployment Guide.
