github Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer v1.18.3

More polish for the live monitoring views. See v1.18.0 release notes for what's new in v1.18.0+

Monitoring Live View

  • 2D map relayouts on filter changes - Toggling Wi-Fi/Wired overlays, band filters, or text search now rebuilds the tree layout so the map compacts to use the available space instead of leaving gaps where hidden clients were
  • Grid-wrap clients with infra siblings - APs with downstream infra (like a UDB bridge) now grid-wrap their clients at 6 columns instead of one long horizontal line
  • Dark background pills on device labels - Device name and throughput rate labels below network devices now have the same dark pill background as link speed labels, improving readability over connector lines
  • Smooth WAN chart scrolling - The live WAN throughput chart now scrolls continuously instead of jumping on each poll cycle. Poll cadence aligned to the 5 s SNMP interval for consistent data
  • Tooltip stays while inspecting - Hovering a data point on the WAN chart pauses updates so the tooltip doesn't disappear while you're reading it
  • WAN chart mobile full-width - Y-axis labels hidden and padding optimized on mobile so the chart uses the full screen width
  • Tab refocus catch-up - Alt-tabbing away and coming back reloads the WAN chart history so there's no gap in the data

Fixes

  • Missing InfluxDB buckets handled gracefully - Renamed, deleted, or inaccessible buckets no longer crash the app. Returns empty data and marks InfluxDB unhealthy with a banner linking to Setup.
  • Cellular Stats tab waits for InfluxDB - Charts now wait for InfluxDB to be confirmed reachable before mounting, matching SFP tab behavior. Shows a loading spinner instead of empty charts during app startup.
  • Packet loss line breaks fixed - Null loss values from the API no longer create gaps in the WAN chart loss line

Installation

Windows: Download the MSI installer below

Docker:

docker compose pull && docker compose up -d

macOS (native, recommended for accurate speed tests vs Docker Desktop):

git clone https://github.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer.git && cd NetworkOptimizer && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh
# or if you already have it cloned
cd NetworkOptimizer && git pull && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh

Proxmox:

bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer/main/scripts/proxmox/install.sh)"

For other platforms (Synology, QNAP, Unraid, native Linux), see the Deployment Guide.
