More fixes for WAN monitoring and Docker compatibility. See v1.18.0 release notes for what's new in v1.18.0+
Monitoring Live View
- Packet loss accuracy - Loss is now a flat average across all WAN targets per time window instead of per-target smoothed. Gives a cleaner, more representative loss signal on the live WAN chart.
Client Speed Test
- Health check fix for bridge networking - The browser speed test availability check was hardcoded to
127.0.0.1, which failed on Docker setups where the speedtest container port is bound to a specific IP. Now usesHOST_IPwhen set. Fixes #724.
Fixes
- Docker: Speedtest container starts on IPv4-only hosts - The OpenSpeedTest container no longer crashes on hosts with IPv6 disabled. The entrypoint now detects missing IPv6 support and skips the IPv6 listen directive. Fixes #724.
Installation
Windows: Download the MSI installer below
Docker:
docker compose pull && docker compose up -dmacOS (native, recommended for accurate speed tests vs Docker Desktop):
git clone https://github.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer.git && cd NetworkOptimizer && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh
# or if you already have it cloned
cd NetworkOptimizer && git pull && ./scripts/install-macos-native.shProxmox:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer/main/scripts/proxmox/install.sh)"For other platforms (Synology, QNAP, Unraid, native Linux), see the Deployment Guide.
