More fixes for monitoring and the 3D map. See v1.17.0 release notes for what's new in v1.17.0+
Monitoring
- WAN speed now shows on UDM gateways - Live stats cards were missing WAN Download/Upload on UDM-Pro, UDM-SE, and UDM-Pro-Max because SNMP reported hardware descriptions instead of Linux interface names for the physical NICs. The SNMP poller now prefers ifName when it's a real interface name and the alias isn't.
- Gateway type filter expanded - The WAN interface extraction now uses the canonical gateway classification, picking up UCG and USG devices that were previously skipped.
- SNMP re-detection on page load - The Monitoring page now re-detects SNMP settings every time you visit it, avoiding stale false positives (e.g., showing SNMP v3 when the device only supports v2c).
3D Map
- Live scrubbing - The 3D map and stat cards now update as you drag the timeline scrubber, not just when you release it.
- Arrow key scrubbing improvements - Better UX for arrow key scrubbing with hold-to-accelerate and Shift for fast scrub.
Fixes
- GeoLite2 database updates no longer fail - Downloads now extract to a staging file and swap into place after closing the reader, preventing file-in-use errors.
Installation
Windows: Download the MSI installer below
Docker:
docker compose pull && docker compose up -dmacOS (native, recommended for accurate speed tests vs Docker Desktop):
git clone https://github.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer.git && cd NetworkOptimizer && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh
# or if you already have it cloned
cd NetworkOptimizer && git pull && ./scripts/install-macos-native.shProxmox:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer/main/scripts/proxmox/install.sh)"For other platforms (Synology, QNAP, Unraid, native Linux), see the Deployment Guide.
