github Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer v1.17.3

latest release: v1.17.4
10 hours ago

More monitoring improvements - this time for the Live View timeline. See v1.17.0 release notes for what's new in v1.17.0+

Self-Hosted Network Monitoring

  • Historic playback for stat cards - The stat cards above and below the 3D map (WAN rates, latency, gateway health, fabric load) now reflect the timeline position during playback, showing point-in-time values from InfluxDB instead of only live data
  • Full map data during playback - The 3D map now shows correct historic data for all link types during playback, including uplinks, WAN, mesh backhaul, wired clients, and switch-behind-mesh-AP links. Node badges show historic CPU, memory, temperature, and fabric rates. Cloud stats show historic latency.
  • Playback speed control - +/- buttons let you adjust playback speed from 1x (real-time) through 1440x, with the rate displayed between the buttons
  • Growing scrubber window - The timeline's left edge is anchored at page load, so the window grows as you leave the page open instead of dropping older time periods
  • Historic badge - Click the "Historic" badge to snap back to live. Tooltip only appears when in historic mode.
  • Investigation timestamps - Packet loss and SFP anomaly investigation results now include the local date and time in parentheses alongside the relative "19h ago" format
  • GetWansAsync performance - The WAN port table structure is now cached for 30 seconds instead of hitting the UniFi controller API on every 2-second live poll

Fixes

  • SNMP concurrency limit - Fast-tier and medium-tier SNMP polls previously fanned out to all devices with no concurrency limit, which could overwhelm the .NET runtime on macOS native installs. Now bounded to 8 concurrent SNMP operations across all tiers.

Installation

Windows: Download the MSI installer below

Docker:

docker compose pull && docker compose up -d

macOS (native, recommended for accurate speed tests vs Docker Desktop):

git clone https://github.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer.git && cd NetworkOptimizer && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh
# or if you already have it cloned
cd NetworkOptimizer && git pull && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh

Proxmox:

bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer/main/scripts/proxmox/install.sh)"

For other platforms (Synology, QNAP, Unraid, native Linux), see the Deployment Guide.
