More SFP monitoring improvements - this one's for the Active Ethernet / P2P fiber folks. See v1.17.0 release notes for what's new in v1.17.0+
SFP Monitoring
- Active Ethernet support - Users with AON / P2P fiber can now mark their SFP modules as Active Ethernet instead of the "pretend it's PON" workaround. Dedicated thresholds, health color bands, and alert rules tuned for point-to-point links where RX power should be much stronger than through a 1:32 splitter.
- Dashboard card links to SFP chart - Clicking the ONT Stats / Fiber Stats card on the dashboard jumps straight to the SFP Diagnostics chart in Monitoring, pre-filtered to the module you were viewing.
- Dynamic card title - Shows "ONT Stats (GPON / XGS-PON)" when all monitored modules are PON, switches to "Fiber Stats" when any AE module is present.
- "Set ONT" replaces "Set PON" - Clearer labeling in the Optical table, plus a new "Set AE" button for P2P modules.
Performance Tweaks
- Firmware gate raised to 5.1.15 - Performance Tweaks now supports UniFi OS through 5.1.15 (previously capped at 5.1.13).
Fixes
- SFP vendor name cleaning - Corporate suffixes like "Inc", "Ltd", "Technologies" are stripped from vendor names on the dashboard.
- Paging buttons on dashboard card - Navigation arrows no longer accidentally trigger card click.
Installation
Windows: Download the MSI installer below
Docker:
docker compose pull && docker compose up -dmacOS (native, recommended for accurate speed tests vs Docker Desktop):
git clone https://github.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer.git && cd NetworkOptimizer && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh
# or if you already have it cloned
cd NetworkOptimizer && git pull && ./scripts/install-macos-native.shProxmox:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer/main/scripts/proxmox/install.sh)"For other platforms (Synology, QNAP, Unraid, native Linux), see the Deployment Guide.
