More improvements for monitoring and network tools. See v1.17.0 release notes for what's new in v1.17.0+
Dashboard
- Live View panel - New dashboard card that embeds the live 2D or 3D topology map alongside WAN rates, latency stats, and gateway health. Disabled by default; enable and toggle between 2D/3D in dashboard edit mode.
Network Tools
- WAN interface selection - On multi-WAN gateways, a new dropdown lets you bind ping and traceroute to a specific WAN link by friendly name (e.g. "Comcast Cable (WAN1) - eth4"). Useful for isolating per-WAN latency and path.
- Gateway SSH credential fix - Probes from the gateway vantage now use gateway-specific SSH credentials instead of generic UniFi SSH creds, fixing auth failures on sites where the two differ.
- Traceroute auto-install - If traceroute isn't installed on the gateway, it's installed automatically via apt on first probe attempt.
Fixes
- Traceroute probe count - Fixed the output parser showing doubled probe counts on successful hops (e.g. "3 / 6" instead of "3 / 3").
- Live View mobile UX - Touch interaction fixes, responsive layout improvements, iOS orientation change handling, and scroll behavior tuned for tablet landscape for the 2D/3D topology maps.
- ONT/Cellular stats panels - Fixed font-size override on ONT model display and centered metric rows in WAN panels.
Installation
Windows: Download the MSI installer below
Docker:
docker compose pull && docker compose up -dmacOS (native, recommended for accurate speed tests vs Docker Desktop):
git clone https://github.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer.git && cd NetworkOptimizer && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh
# or if you already have it cloned
cd NetworkOptimizer && git pull && ./scripts/install-macos-native.shProxmox:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer/main/scripts/proxmox/install.sh)"For other platforms (Synology, QNAP, Unraid, native Linux), see the Deployment Guide.
