github Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer v1.16.8

More fixes and improvements. See v1.16.0 release notes for what's new in v1.16.0+

Security Audit

  • Cellular WAN DNS false positive fixed - The DNS audit no longer flags cellular WAN interfaces (U5G, LTE modems) for missing static DNS. UniFi doesn't allow DNS configuration on cellular WANs, so the warning was a false positive.

Wi-Fi Optimizer

  • Roaming Assistant reads SSID-level settings - Newer UniFi Network versions moved Roaming Assistant from per-AP radio settings to per-SSID WLAN config. The optimizer now checks SSID-level settings first, with a fallback to per-AP for older controller versions. Supports both 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands.

Fixes

  • IPv6 binding support - The app now binds to both IPv4 and IPv6 interfaces instead of IPv4 only. Users on IPv6-only or dual-stack networks can now reach the web UI without extra configuration.
  • syslog-ng persist file moved to tmpfs - The volatile log tweak now also redirects syslog-ng's persist file from eMMC to tmpfs, reducing unnecessary flash writes on UniFi gateways.
