Multiple WAN speed test server support and smarter Config Optimizer checks. See v1.16.0 release notes for what's new in v1.16.0+
Client WAN Speed Test
- Multiple external speed test servers - You can now configure more than one external OpenSpeedTest server in Settings. The speed test page shows a dropdown when you have multiple, with a configurable default.
- Speed, Latency, and Jitter charts - New tabbed charts with per-server series, a time slider from 1 hour to all time, and click-to-scroll from chart points to results in the table.
- Server filter - Filter the history table and charts by server, alongside the existing device filter.
Config Optimizer
- Trunk ports excluded from Flow Control check - Ports connecting switches and/or gateways on both sides are no longer flagged when Flow Control is disabled. Disabling FC on high-speed inter-switch links is common and often optimal. Port profiles with "trunk" in the name are also excluded.
Threat Dashboard
- IPS v2 detection fix - Sites running IPS v2 now correctly show threat data. Previously, a successful v2 response was being ignored in favor of the v1 endpoint. Thanks to @jedis00 for the fix!
Performance Tweaks
- Fan control standby PWM reverted to stock - Left at the factory default (20) since the standby role isn't fully understood.
Installation
Windows: Download the MSI installer below
Docker:
docker compose pull && docker compose up -dmacOS (native, recommended for accurate speed tests vs Docker Desktop):
git clone https://github.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer.git && cd NetworkOptimizer && ./scripts/install-macos-native.sh
# or if you already have it cloned
cd NetworkOptimizer && git pull && ./scripts/install-macos-native.shProxmox:
bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Ozark-Connect/NetworkOptimizer/main/scripts/proxmox/install.sh)"For other platforms (Synology, QNAP, Unraid, native Linux), see the Deployment Guide.
