Pi-hole / Third-Party DNS Detection
The Security Audit now detects third-party DNS servers like Pi-hole and AdGuard Home configured on your network:
- Automatic detection of third-party DNS servers on DHCP-enabled networks
- Consistency check flags when some networks use third-party DNS but others don't
- Quick access - Settings icon on DNS issues links directly to your Pi-hole/AdGuard admin interface
- Configurable Pi-hole management port in Security Audit Settings
UDR/UX Mesh AP Classification
UniFi Dream Router (UDR) and Express (UX) devices acting as mesh Access Points are now correctly identified:
- Shows as
[AP]instead of[Switch]on the Security Audit details, shows as an AP in all other places - SSH connection test correctly finds these devices as APs
- LAN Speed Test discovers them properly for testing
- New
IsActingAsAccessPointproperty distinguishes network role from hardware type
Changes
DNS Security
- DoH Not Configured severity upgraded to Critical
- DNS Inconsistent Config severity downgraded to Recommended
- Fixed:
dhcpd_dns_enabledflag now respected (when false, network uses gateway DNS) - Smarter messaging when DoH is enabled alongside third-party DNS
UX Improvements
- Tooltip display fixed for configurable settings
- Better recommendation text with specific examples
- Updated terminology for accuracy
Bug Fixes
- DNS detection now correctly reads
dhcpd_dns_1throughdhcpd_dns_4fields - Settings SSH test uses proper device discovery for mesh AP detection
