Firmware 2.2.1(7) supports OpenSprinkler v3 (v3.0-3.4), v4, and OSPi/Linux.
IMPORTANT: Export your configuration before updating. On OpenSprinkler v3/v4 already running 2.2.1(6), use One-Click Firmware Update. For older firmware, use Manual Firmware Upload. See the firmware update instructions for steps and firmware download links.
New Features
- Cycle and Soak: Supports splitting longer watering runs into shorter cycles with soak periods between them, with per-zone settings.
- Onboard analog sensors (v4 only): Read analog sensors (0-3.3V) directly from built-in ports SN1-SN4 without a Sensor Expander.
- CH390 Ethernet support: Supports CH390 Ethernet modules with OpenSprinkler v3.3, v3.4 and v4, alongside W5500.
- Custom hostnames (v3/v4): Set an easy-to-remember hostname, such as
garden-os, to access the controller without looking up its IP address.

- Improve Ethernet recovery and wired-to-Wi-Fi fallback.
- Improve cloud connection reliability and memory usage.
- Improve firmware updater security and reliability; support formatted release notes.
- Fix simultaneous manual zone starts and improve scheduling efficiency.
Notes
- Remote Extension mode: Stops the remote controller's current runs and disables automatic watering starts (including program switches) and weather queries. Manual runs and program-scheduled reboots remain available.
- Firmware uploads: Reload old cached updater pages. Upload scripts must send credentials before the request body.
- Downgrading: Older firmware does not support Cycle and Soak, onboard analog or CH390; review settings and network compatibility first.
