You need your own disc image: Metroid Prime Trilogy (R3ME01 USA, R3MP01 PAL), Metroid Prime USA (GM8E01, revisions 1.00, 1.01 and 1.02), PAL (GM8P01). No disc image or game assets are included.
What changed
Cameras (#268)
- The morph ball camera follows the FOV setting
- "Ball follows FOV" (on by default) keeps the ball camera at retail's FOV when turned off (F1 overlay, pause Options > Display, console
fov ball).
Suit colours (#273)
- Samus's body while morphing, in pickup cutscenes and in third person now takes the suit colours too.
Metroid Prime Remastered graphics
- Map floors in Phendrana Shorelines and nearby rooms draw filled instead of as outlines (#271).
- The GameCube Z button fits inside the hint memo's ring (#272).
Echoes models
- Playing as Dark Samus gives her own Morph Ball (re-import needed).
Other changes
- The F1 overlay draws non-Latin game text (Cyrillic, Greek, curly quotes) instead of
?(#270). - The F1 overlay no longer draws far too large on iPhone, iPad and Mac (#274).
- The Screenshot binding saves a PNG and shows where it went, also on Android, where it saved nothing before (#275).
- The Beam colours' Reset buttons work (#267).
- The Steam Deck's built-in controller yields Player 1 to a connected controller.
- Quitting a game launched from Steam no longer crashes.
- Savestates restore changed animations cleanly, and skip field data saved by a different field list instead of misreading it.
- Bound prompt icons show from their first draw instead of flashing the GameCube art.
- Fewer texture and vertex copies per frame, and Samus's shader pipelines are never trimmed (Android no longer trims at moderate memory pressure).
