You need your own disc image: Metroid Prime Trilogy (R3ME01 USA, R3MP01 PAL), Metroid Prime USA (GM8E01, revisions 1.00, 1.01 and 1.02), PAL (GM8P01). No disc image or game assets are included.
What changed
Echoes suits (mod)
- Import the Varia, Dark and Light Suits from your own Metroid Prime 2: Echoes disc, or from the MP2 folder of a Trilogy disc.
- The suits appear on Samus's body, the first-person arms and arm cannon, the pause screen model and the Morph Ball. The Varia and Light suits use their own balls as their Spider Balls.
- Play as Dark Samus.
Options
- Beam colours picker (#223).
- Arm cannon FOV slider, and an Arm cannon follows FOV toggle.
Controls
- You can shoot in the Scan Visor (#243). (Enable the setting in F1)
- Faster beam switching (#243).
- An L binding set to Toggle lets go when its lock ends, instead of leaving you orbiting a dead target or an empty point (#243).
Savestates
- Each savestate records the disc it was made on, and a savestate from a different disc is refused.
- Enemies keep their collision material lists across a load.
- Loading a state in the hangar no longer shows the intro text.
Metroid Prime Remastered graphics
- Projected decals (scorch marks and impacts) wrap over surfaces as in Remastered, and age by Remastered's own rules.
- The sky's flow-map clouds move.
- Fish clouds swim like Remastered's, and their fish, swarms, seedling spikes and alpha bombs take no baked lighting.
- The pause screen uses Remastered's backdrop texture, and its Samus model is lit by the menu's lights instead of baked lighting.
- Fog and room lights of areas you can't see stay off. Room components follow the layers their area loaded with.
- The underwater filter blends in linear light. The exposure meter's mid grey matches Remastered.
- More of Remastered's own models and room effects, such as the force field in Research Lab Hydra and the rubble in Mine Security Station.
Fixes
- Under Steam, the port picks X11 when Steam's video driver list names it.
- Trilogy's "Hypermode Mode" shows as "Hypermode" and fits in the new-game popup.
