More Remastered effects drawn right, progressive beam upgrades for Archipelago, a fix for the crash after the Frigate escape on Android, and Windows builds from a plain Visual Studio setup.
You need your own disc image: Metroid Prime USA (GM8E01, revisions 1.00, 1.01 and 1.02) or the experimental PAL release (GM8P01). No disc image or game assets are included.
What changed
Remastered visuals
- Sprites that leave out their size draw at Remastered's default instead of ten times too small (59 particle generators).
- Remastered's shutdown behaviour converts: effects that kill their particles or delay their shutdown do so, child particles stop with their parent as in Remastered, and a projectile's trails clear when it hits.
- Particle depth bias, per-particle model direction and pivot, and the spread of particles born in one tick along the emitter's motion now convert.
- Tallon Overworld's and Phendrana's water fogs show under water, denser without the Gravity Suit.
- The Remastered effects and rooms are re-imported once on the first start.
Randomizer and Archipelago
- Progressive beam upgrades for Archipelago seeds (#177, thanks @UltiNaruto!). Games without progressive beams keep the Charge Beam as before.
Fixes
- Changing worlds no longer leaves the resource loader pointing into a freed world PAK, a likely cause of "Truncated resource stream" after the Frigate escape on Android (#176). A resource that fails to load now names itself and where it was read from in the log.
- Tests and custom resource code build in a plain Visual Studio setup (#170).
Issues addressed
- #170 Archipelago implementation bugs (Windows build)
- #176 Truncated resource stream after the Frigate escape (likely; please report if it still happens)
