Remastered beam improvements, Android touch buttons that name what they do in morph ball and menus, and a memory leak fix for visor static.
You need your own disc image: Metroid Prime USA (GM8E01, revisions 1.00, 1.01 and 1.02) or the experimental PAL release (GM8P01). No disc image or game assets are included.
What changed
Remastered
- The Power Beam, Plasma Beam and missile impacts now use Remastered's effects. The Plasma Beam's impact and charge effects give off their own light.
- Ice Beam effects keep Remastered's material and particle rotation, and the charged Plasma Beam effect follows the arm cannon's rotation.
- More menu and HUD text is translated on a USA disc with another language selected (door names, START, and strings Remastered reworded).
- These need a re-import: the port reminds you at launch; run it from F1 > Remastered.
Android
- With button descriptions on, the touch buttons name what they do in morph ball (Bomb, Boost, P.Bomb, Spider), in the pause menu, on the map and in message boxes (#106).
- A quick upward swipe of the aim finger uses the Spring Ball (F1 > Touch controls, on by default).
Fixes
- Visor static memory leak fix (#107).
- Backwards Lower Mines: opening the Elite Quarters door from Processing Center Access no longer freezes the game (#88).
- PAL: the Chozo Lore "script translated" messages show in English when English is selected (#109).
- With Toggle Lock-On, leaving a finished scan no longer locks on and scans the same object again when the trigger bounces.
Photo mode
- Mouse controls in photo mode. Left click or P captures, the wheel changes the FOV, H hides the panel, Esc exits (#101).
- With twin-stick aim, the right stick turns the free camera (#101).

The macOS app is ad-hoc signed, not notarized. Clear quarantine with xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "Metroid Prime Port.app" if needed. Metal rendering, input and audio still need broader real-device testing.
