Improvements & Changes
- Fixed the LG webOS companion service manifest used by the packaged IPK.
- Added the missing
enginefsKeepAliveandenginefsKeepAliveStopLuna service command declarations. - Ensured Homebrew-installed webOS builds expose the same EngineFS keep-alive service commands used by the direct IPK build.
- Fixed a potential webOS playback issue where local EngineFS streaming could lose its service keep-alive during playback.
- Verified the generated webOS IPK includes both the app and companion service package:
usr/palm/applications/space.nuvio.webosusr/palm/services/space.nuvio.webos.service
- Updated webOS Homebrew repository references from
NuvioMedia/NuvioWebOStoNuvioMedia/NuvioTVWebOS. - Updated webOS Homebrew icon metadata URLs to point to the correct metadata repository.
- Bumped Nuvio TV Web version to 0.2.9.
Install
⚠️ Status: BETA - experimental and may be unstable.
Nuvio WebTV Installer
- Download the latest Windows or macOS Nuvio WebTV Installer build from the latest NuvioMedia/NuvioWeb release.
- Use it to install the latest .wgt and .ipk builds directly to supported Samsung Tizen and LG webOS TVs.
TizenBrew
- Open TizenBrew on your Samsung TV.
- Add the GitHub module NuvioMedia/NuvioTVTizen.
- Launch Nuvio TV from your installed modules.
webOS Homebrew
- For direct .ipk installation: open the latest release in NuvioMedia/NuvioWeb, download the attached .ipk, enable Developer Mode and Key Server by following https://www.webosbrew.org/devmode, then install it with webOS Dev Manager.
- For Homebrew Channel repository installation: open Homebrew Channel, go to Settings, choose Add repository, enter https://raw.githubusercontent.com/NuvioMedia/NuvioTVWebOS/main/webosbrew/apps.json, return to the apps list, and install Nuvio TV from there.
