Search:
after clearing the search with "✕" the message list stayed empty instead of showing the folder again, and changing the search word could leave the old results. Fixed.
Misc scaling improvements of search bar
Online updates (beta, off by default)
New settings tab "Online updates (beta)" in NovaBird-Extension:
keeps all eight NovaBird packages at the "Stable" (releases) or "Testing" channel and installs missing ones, so a new PC only needs NovaBird-Extension.
Every package is checked against its SHA-256 checksum before installing. Nothing is fetched while it is off.
Beta: this is the first release with online updates and they are still being tested. Leave them off if you prefer; if anything goes wrong, install the packages from this page by hand as before.
Screen Scaling (experimental, off by default)
Scaling for RDP Sessions:
New tab "Screen Scaling": changes the scaling of the whole window automatically when the screen resolution changes, e.g. with changing remote desktop connections.
Conversations
on low screens: the pinned newest message is limited in height, so more of the history stays readable.
Search: smaller gap between folder name and search field.
the conversation view stayed at "searching" and never appeared. Fixed.
Right-click an attachment in the Conversation view or in the right pane → "Open" / "Save as …".
In the right pane a double-click opens the attachment. Saving uses Thunderbird's own attachment code (before, "Save" in the Conversation view stored the whole mail as .eml).
Misc:
AI summary window: notes that were empty in some cases now show their text.
AI summary: the summary window no longer waits forever.
