✨ Automatic Contact List Management
Your contact lists now stay clean automatically! When someone bounces or complains about an email, Notifuse will automatically update their status in your lists.
What this means for you:
- Better deliverability - Contacts who permanently bounced or complained are automatically marked, helping you maintain a healthy sender reputation
- Cleaner lists - No need to manually remove problem contacts
- Historical updates - We've analyzed your past campaigns and updated contact statuses based on previous bounces and complaints
🎯 Smart Bounce Detection
Not all bounces are created equal. We now distinguish between:
- Hard bounces (permanent failures like invalid email addresses) - automatically marks the contact
- Soft bounces (temporary issues like full inbox) - won't affect your contact's status
This ensures only real problems impact your contact lists.
📊 Enhanced Message Logs
Message logs now display which broadcast campaign an email was sent from, making it easier to track your campaign performance and troubleshoot delivery issues.
🔧 Template Editor Improvements
Fixed an issue where special characters in email templates could cause problems during import and export. Your templates will now handle special characters seamlessly.
How It Works
When a contact's email permanently bounces or they mark your email as spam:
- The system automatically updates their status across all affected lists
- Status follows a priority: Complained > Bounced > Active
- Once marked as complained or bounced, the contact won't be marked with a lower priority status
This all happens behind the scenes - no action needed from you!
Upgrade Notes
This update includes automatic database improvements that will run when you first start v10.0. The system will:
- Review your historical campaigns and update contact statuses accordingly
- Set up automatic monitoring for future bounces and complaints
No manual intervention required - just update and you're good to go!
