Changes

  • Added SteamOS Gaming Mode streaming through Gamescope, including SDR and HDR capture, native Steam launches, and a user installation bundle with reversible Sunshine replacement.
  • Completed more v2 settings and improved navigation, page layouts, game-library setup, search, and synchronization controls.
  • Added per-application 10-bit SDR preferences and preserved color choices when resuming games.
  • Added Windows audio capture without changing the system's default playback device.
  • Added native package installation for local Linux builds, with prerequisite checks and explicit recovery after failed installations.
  • Reduced Linux virtual-display setup delays and reused application-owned displays when clients resumed.
  • Preserved Linux host logs across restarts and reboots.

Fixes

  • Fixed Linux capture and display restoration around suspend, resume, private-display hotplug, and delayed display readiness.
  • Avoided opening rendering GPUs or forcing hardware display probes during Linux display discovery, reducing exposure to stalled GPU drivers after sleep.
  • Rejected overlapping launch, resume, and cancel requests while another stream operation was still running, preventing timed-out commands from executing later.
  • Fixed virtual-display VRR waits spinning instead of sleeping between presentations.
  • Fixed Linux installation forcing unrelated system upgrades and improved detection of unavailable headers for retired running kernels.
  • Restored Steam and Lutris artwork synchronization, refreshed stale Moonlight artwork, and prevented duplicate remote-session application tiles.
  • Fixed Windows Steam games remaining open when sessions closed and improved queued Playnite game-stop handling.
  • Improved recovery of host identity, credentials, and auxiliary settings from validated backups without reverting newer credentials.
  • Fixed mouse targeting on the captured monitor, delayed button releases, and preservation of Windows Mouse Keys settings.
  • Preserved DualSense adaptive-trigger feedback and matched Nintendo clients to the Switch Pro controller profile.
  • Fixed Windows capture losing explicitly selected displays, virtual-monitor scaling, streaming VSYNC preferences, and RTSS 7.3.7 detection.
  • Fixed Windows installation proceeding before legacy NSIS removal finished and improved service shutdown handling.

Arch Linux and CachyOS

Download vibepollo-2.0.0beta.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst and install it with:

sudo pacman -U ./vibepollo-2.0.0beta.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

Managed virtual displays require Linux 6.16 or newer. If matching headers are missing, the package prints the exact sudo pacman -S --needed <kernel-package>-headers command for the running kernel. Run it, then retry the driver setup:

sudo /usr/libexec/vibeshine/vibeshine-drm-install install

Or let the installer script handle headers, the package, and the firewall:

curl -fsSLO https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Nonary/Vibepollo/vibe-test/scripts/linux_install.sh
sudo bash linux_install.sh --version 2.0.0-beta.1

Reboot after the first installation so the login screen and desktop load the new display and session integration. Then open https://localhost:47990, create your login, and pair Moonlight.

See the full Linux installation guide.
