This build contains various bug fixes reported in the last few days, which will be rolled out to stable on the next biweekly release. But this build is being offered earlier for those that want the fixes sooner than that.

Changes

  • Fixed a bug that caused SudoVDA driver detection to fail, which prevented virtual display from initializing. (new)
  • Fixed black screen issue on headless configurations, virtual displays are now also re-used if no devices are available to speed up connection time. (new)
  • Fixed another scenario that delayed streaming by one minute on headless configurations. (new)
  • Added support for capturing on different GPUs, if you specify a specific adapter on the configuration it will spin up a virtual monitor that is attached to that GPU. This will allow laptops for example to capture and encode on their DGPU instead of being stuck on iGPU for everything.
  • Added crash report detection, you will now see an alert on the dashboard of the WebUI if a crash happened recently, with a button to export crash logs and to create an issue. This is optional, but if you experience a crash please report it so it can be fixed.
  • Improved responsiveness of display swaps and virtual screens should now tear down immediately when not in use.
  • You can now synchronize all playnite games, or synchronize just specific libraries.
  • Playnite games will now automatically remove themselves once uninstalled (new config option, enabled by default).
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Playnite Fullscreen from properly terminating the session once it was closed.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the system tray from initializing after a reboot.
  • Fixed an issue that caused streams to take almost a full minute to start in some scenarios (a PC with a TV monitor/headless display)
  • Reworded the VSYNC toggle, it now does not mention ULLM anymore (it used to do that but it's not necessary anymore).
  • Reworded some of the playnite fields to make it more clear on what it does.
  • Fixed a rare crash bug when using Lossless Scaling.
  • Improved Lossless Scaling detection (work in progress)
