The first release of LatentJam — a local music player with an on-device neural recommender, for Android and iOS.
No account, no catalogue, no network. Every track in your library is embedded from its audio and its tags by small ONNX models running on the phone, so shuffle can follow a thread and a For You page can resurface the records you own and forgot. Nothing about your listening leaves the device.
Highlights
- 🎧 SMART shuffle — plans a coherent walk through your library, not a dice roll
- ✨ For You — rediscovery of records you own and haven't played in a while
- 🔎 Search with on-device artist-alias resolution
- 🎚️ A system equalizer, playlists, album/artist/genre browsing, ID3 tag editing
- 🌍 17 languages, fully on-device, fully offline
- 📱 One shared engine across Android and iOS (Kotlin Multiplatform)
Install (Android)
Download LatentJam-v0.1.0.apk below and open it on your phone. You'll need to allow installing unknown apps for whatever app you open it from, and tap through Play Protect's sideload warning. Requires Android 7.0+ (arm64 or 32-bit ARM).
⚠️ Early experimental debug build for sideloading — not a Play Store release. It installs alongside your other apps. SMART becomes good once a chunk of your library has been analysed in the background.
