AI-Powered Team Radio Transcription
This beta release introduces an experimental AI-powered Team Radio Transcription feature.
The new integration uses AI to transcribe team radio audio files provided by the F1 API, converting radio communications into text and identifying individual speakers.
This is an early experimental feature, intended to explore its capabilities, gather feedback, and establish a foundation for future development. One potential next step is a dedicated module in the F1 Sensor Card that displays team radio messages directly as text.
Getting Started
The feature can be tested using the free tier of Google Gemini, integrated directly into Home Assistant.
For setup instructions and further details, please refer to the beta documentation.
There is also a dedicated GitHub issue for tracking development progress, feedback, and reported bugs.
Feedback & Testing
As this feature is still experimental, your feedback is especially valuable.
I'd really appreciate any help with testing, reporting issues, and sharing ideas as we continue exploring and improving this functionality.
Thanks for helping make F1 Sensor better!

Add experimental team radio transcription (#850)
The F1 Sensor integration can experimentally transcribe the latest published team radio clip in English through a Google Gemini AI Task, with anonymous speaker labels for dashboard use. The action is manual, may incur provider charges, and is intended for testing; see the beta documentation for setup, usage, and limitations.Fixes #851
