F1 Sensor – v5.8.0-beta.1
⚠️ This is a beta release intended for testing.
New features
-
Add selectable minisector status displays to the integration and live data card
The F1 Sensor integration now provides minisector status data to the modular live data card. Users can display minisector blocks separately or beneath each sector time, with purple, green, and yellow colors showing overall best, personal best, and recorded segments. Existing dashboards remain unchanged until the new fields are selected. Fixes #702. -
Compare drivers in expandable live data card timing rows
The live data card now shows each selected driver’s details directly beneath their timing row, with several drivers open at once. Choose which fields and recent laps appear without repeating information already in the table. Existing card settings continue to work. Fixes #778. -
Let Timing modules hide time details and icons
Bug fixes
-
Keep live timing available through qualifying breaks
The F1 Sensor integration keeps live timing available during breaks between qualifying segments and testing-day pauses. It closes the connection when the current session actually ends, while practice and race sessions keep their existing end behavior. Fixes #799. -
Keep live timing connected when the feed shows an earlier session
The F1 Sensor integration now waits for the correct session instead of closing when the live feed still shows an earlier session as finished. Live sensors remain available while the feed switches to the upcoming session, and normal session-end handling is preserved. Fixes #799. -
Keep session status accurate during qualifying reconnects
The F1 Sensor integration no longer briefly reports qualifying breaks as finished when live timing reconnects before the segment is known. Testing-day pauses also remain breaks, while ordinary practice, race, and final qualifying results keep their expected states. Related live indicators no longer reset during those pauses. Fixes #799. -
Restore live data card loading in the iOS Companion App
The live data card now loads reliably in the iOS Companion App after upgrading. Existing dashboards and card configurations continue to work without changes. Fixes #798. -
Translate lap-qualified gaps in the live data card
The live data card now translates lap-qualified timing gaps such as “LAP 9” using the selected interface language. -
Remove leading space from Dutch stint-change loss explanation
Maintenance
-
Align combined sector times with their minisector status rows
The live data card now matches each combined sector time badge to the width of its minisector status row and centers the timing content. Minisector blocks keep their existing size and spacing for clear status visibility. -
Allow reviewed beta hotfixes already present on dev
Owner-created beta hotfix pull requests can run the required checks when every changed file matches committed development content. This keeps urgent fixes reviewable without promoting unrelated development changes. -
Use consistent minisector status block shapes in the live data card
The live data card now uses the same outer shape for every minisector status block. Status symbols remain visible so fastest, personal-best, recorded and unavailable segments stay clear without relying on color alone.
