F1 Sensor – v5.7.0

GitHub Downloads (all assets, specific tag)

One F1 card. Built around you.

F1 Sensor 5.7 introduces a new way to follow Formula 1 in Home Assistant: the modular F1 Sensor card. Start with a ready-made preset for a race weekend, live session, favourite driver, weather or results, then make it your own with the modules that matter to you.

Build a simple overview or a detailed race companion in the visual editor. Combine live timing, Track Map, Race Control, replay, results, championship progress and analysis; arrange them in rows, columns or tabs; choose when individual modules appear; and refine the look without needing YAML.

This is a new card, not a forced rebuild of your dashboard. Your existing cards continue to work, while the F1 Sensor card lets you move at your own pace and reuse the layouts that suit you best.

New features

  • Add a modular live data card for tailored F1 dashboards
The F1 Sensor integration and live data card now offer presets and selectable modules for race weekends, live sessions, favorite drivers, results, weather, replay, analysis and more. A visual editor provides flexible layouts, fields, filters, styles and accessible timing signals without requiring YAML. Existing card types remain supported, so current dashboards continue to work while users can migrate one card at a time with a reviewable preview and exact restoration.

  • Add team-colored interactive season progression to the live data card
Season Progression now uses established driver and constructor colors when team accents are enabled. Select a legend name or chart line to hide that series, then select the legend again to restore it. The data table follows the visible series, while the temporary filter leaves the saved card configuration unchanged. Existing cards require no configuration changes.

  • add Dutch translation to the live data card

Bug fixes

  • Add Sepang geometry to the live data card track map

  • Correct Weekend Hub card replay status, driver filters, and spoiler controls
The Weekend Hub card now correctly indicates when replay is paused or seeking. A driver selected in another session no longer hides analysis when that driver is absent from the current session. No Spoiler controls now automatically connect to the integration’s switch while preserving support for existing helper configurations.

  • Add Sepang circuit image

Documentation

  • Update documentation for the configurable F1 Sensor card
Documentation now focuses on the configurable live data card, its presets, modules, and visual editor. It also explains how to migrate from deprecated single-purpose cards and includes updated screenshots from Home Assistant.
