F1 Sensor – v5.1.0-beta.2
⚠️ This is a beta release intended for testing.
New features
- Add replay seeking to the F1 Sensor integration and live data card
The F1 Sensor integration now supports faster replay seeking through the media player, and the live data card adds a draggable playbar while keeping the existing skip controls available. Replay state stays consistent across timing, race control, session clock, and track map views after seeking. The bundled live data card also loads more reliably in current Home Assistant versions.
Bug fixes
-
Hide retired drivers from the live data card track map
The live data card now removes drivers marked as out or retired from the track map instead of leaving them shown as stationary cars. This keeps replay and live race views consistent with the incident/status data and makes the visible car count more accurate. -
Preserve replay controls in the live data card
The live data card keeps replay seek controls and the bundled module loader while still hiding retired drivers from the track map. This restores dashboard replay controls and lets the card load correctly in automated checks. -
Restore replay seek controls in the live data card
The live data card now includes the bundled Lit import and replay seek slider behavior that the tests expect. This fixes the dev branch so the card loads reliably and keeps replay seeking available from the dashboard. -
Show only the F1 Sensor repair when F1TV access expires
The F1 Sensor integration now handles expired or rejected F1TV live timing access through its own repair flow instead of also showing a separate Home Assistant authentication error. Public live timing continues to work while F1TV access is refreshed or cleared, and the Token Helper path is no longer blocked by a required manual token field.
Documentation
-
Clarify F1TV Auth subscription requirements in documentation
Documentation now explains that F1TV Auth needs an active F1 TV subscription with Essential Live Timing, and that F1 TV Access is enough where Formula 1 offers it. This helps users avoid subscribing to F1 TV Pro or F1 TV Premium only for auth pairing, while making clear that Formula 1 controls plan names, availability, and prices. Existing F1 Sensor setups are not affected. -
Update for replay control slider
