F1 Sensor – v4.3.0-beta.4
⚠️ This is a beta release intended for testing.
New features
-
Add experimental starting grid sensor
Adds an experimental starting grid sensor that shows the relevant grid for the current race weekend, including sprint and race contexts. The sensor uses Live Timing data to provide provisional qualifying-based grids and updates to confirmed grid positions when available before Sprint or Race starts. It also clears outdated grid data when a new race weekend begins or when Sprint/Race is completed, helping dashboards avoid showing stale information. -
Add grid positions to historical race and sprint results
Historical race and sprint result data now includes original grid positions where available. This makes result views more complete and helps users compare where each driver started against where they finished. -
Add manual F1TV token refresh with Token Helper pairing
Users can now refresh experimental F1TV access from a dedicated button before a race weekend, without reconfiguring the integration. The F1TV token repair flow also supports Token Helper pairing, making expired or rejected tokens easier to replace while public live timing continues to work. -
Add public race gap data for live driver positions
Driver positions now include each driver's gap to the leader and interval to the car ahead when that data is available from live timing. This makes race gap information available to dashboards without requiring F1TV access. -
Expand FIA documents sensor details
The existing FIA documents sensor now provides richer document data for dashboards, including the race context and a list of available documents. This improves how FIA document information can be displayed without changing the existing latest-document sensor behavior.
Maintenance
- Update experimental authenticated live timing for expanded race coverage
F1 Sensor now includes an experimental authenticated live timing feature that are beening tested as an early way to unlock more live race data during active sessions. Read more here - Looking for testers for experimental F1TV auth support
