New Features
-
"Max Thumbnail Quality": Pick between "Fast" and "Original":
Fast: Forces the JSON response to replace all thumbnails with maxres before the video tiles load. Works for ~95% of thumbnails, but the other ~5% will show an empty gray thumbnail temporarily until a DOM pass sweeps by and fixes it. Improves scrolling performance at the cost of short-term accuracy
Original: loads all thumbnails normally in hqdefault resolution, and then upgrades them to maxres if available. No gray boxes, but is computationally more expensive, and represents the original Max Thumbnail Quality strategy -
"Hide YouTube Logo": Now gives you the option to use the default logo, premium logo, or hidden
-
Filter "Live" videos from your feed, including the "Live" tab on the left-side navigation panel #155
-
"Remove Shorts (Global)": Now filters out the "Shorts" tab on the left-side navigation panel #168
-
"Force Video Codec" - Auto, AV1, Avoid AV1, AVC, VP9, HEVC - #147

Performance
-
JSON Filtering Engine: 60% more efficient with every filtering option enabled. Improved memory management and removed redundant passes over the JSON response
-
Max Thumbnail Quality - Fast: Now operates on the JSON filtering engine, eliminating a heavy MutationObserver on every browse page working to replace LQ thumbnails. Thumbnails are upgraded before the page ever sees the original, so scrolling/navigation should now be lag-free. Cuts network requests by half
-
Spatial Navigation: Huge performance uplift in navigation for the legacy build (webOS 3-6). Layout and style reads cut by 80-97% in the green button UI (settings panel) by building a cache. Opening the settings panel will first render the main page you're looking at, and then the remaining three pages, enabling a more responsive UI
