Fixes

  • Fix/mitigate "QR Code" video playback issue. Still needs more testing. Implemented json-stringify.ts from webosbrew - #143

  • Fixed webOS 6 Description panel bug. Highlighting the Description button and pressing enter wouldn't inject RYD/Navigation fix. Switched RYD observer from zylon-provider-7 to zylon-provider-6 which is where the description panel lives - #136

  • Removed segment skip sleep timer logic - #141
(If videos buffer/frame skip, the timer becomes out of sync, causing some segments not to be skipped properly)
RequestAnimationFrame still waits until a second before skipping to perform frame-perfect skips

AdBlock

  • Reduce tracking and telemetry: requests are now asynchronously aborted to correctly trigger event listeners, preventing memory leaks and retry backlogs

SponsorBlock

  • Fixed segment overlays not dynamically redrawing when modifying segment colors mid-video (added color config keys to the change listener and lastOverlayHash)

Changes

  • Add css rule to change some buttons to rounded corners - #130

Optimizations

AdBlock

  • Merged stripTrackingParams and findAndProcessText into a single combined tree traversal, preventing double or triple recursive walks over large JSON responses

Thumbnail Quality

  • Optimized image preloading

SponsorBlock

  • Cached getComputedStyle and getBoundingClientRect reads for the progress bar anchor to prevent forced synchronous style recalculations every 500ms during handleTimeUpdate (after skipping a SponsorBlock segment)

  • Pre-compute segment category string names when building segments instead of during playback. Removes unnecessary string lookups during skips

  • Switched visibility checks to use a MutationObserver on the zylon-hidden class instead of polling opacity via computed style

Return Dislike

  • Replaced observeBodyForPanel mutationObserver with 500ms polling interval, massively reducing CPU cycles during video playback
