🔤 Niagara Next: Introduce New Default Typeface
As part of our Niagara Next UI refresh, this update introduces a new typeface used throughout Niagara Launcher. The new typeface has a more lightweight look and goes hand in hand with the refreshed color palette we introduced in the last update.
🥶 Prevent Homescreen From Freezing
Due to an Android bug that affects all third-party launchers, Niagara Launcher sometimes appeared frozen when returning to the homescreen. Vincenzo from Smart Launcher found a workaround for the issue and was very kind to share it with us. Thank you very much!

⌨️ Optimize Type-to-Search with Hardware Keyboards
In preparation for Niagara Launcher on the Clicks Communicator, we polished the search feature a bit. Previously, due to some complications with the Android API, key presses were sometimes not processed correctly. This is now fixed, so searching on a device with a hardware keyboard should now work without any hiccups.
🌍 Update Translations
Something else that should feel smoother with this update is the text throughout the app (at least if you're using Niagara Launcher in a language that's not English). This is thanks to our translation community, who submitted new and improved translations over the last week.
