Minecraft Dungeons II online

Minecraft Dungeons II (version 1.1.1.0) can now play online on Nextendo. The party leader's game hosts the session; there are no relays and no Nextendo-run game servers.

  • ExeFS patch in atmosphere/exefs_patches/dungeons2-nextendo/. This is the same listen-host patch Citron applies built-in, so console and emulator players run the same code. Atmosphère matches it by build ID, so it does nothing if you don't own the game or are on a different version.
  • Host redirections for the game's PlayFab and Minecraft services, plus Xbox Live. The game requires an Xbox sign-in before Play Online, and Nextendo answers it for you, so no Microsoft account is needed.

After updating, select Nextendo mode again so the new hosts lines and the patch are written to your SD card.

Xbox Live note: Atmosphère's hosts file applies to every game, so while Nextendo mode is on, all games' Xbox Live sign-ins go to Nextendo. Minecraft (Bedrock) and other Xbox Live games lose their real Xbox sign-in until you switch back to Nintendo mode.

Known issues (being worked on)

  • A joiner's own HUD shows LV.0; other players see the right level.
  • The Join Party button is greyed out.
  • Joiners don't see enemy ragdolls.
  • Players' stats at the campfire don't always show for others.
  • Matchmaking doesn't work, but joining my room code works.
