Smash mods: ARCropolis updated to v4.1.1
The bundled SSBU Online Deluxe stack was carrying an ARCropolis from 7 September. The one that mattered is v4.0.10: plugins could take over 100 seconds to become ready, so moveset mods and CSS icons silently never showed up. It also frees 140–180 MB of RAM for mods, which helps stability in side modes.
v4.1.0 then replaced ARCropolis' menus with native ones, and those need ultimate/arcropolis/resources/ — files this bundle never carried. Shipping only the plugin would have given you an ARCropolis with no interface, so the resources are bundled too. That is why the download grew by about 7 MB.
If you already have the mod installed, open Prelude and reinstall it from the SSBU mod menu. Prelude compares file contents, not sizes, so it will tell you an update is waiting.
Known regression, upstream's and not ours: since ARCropolis v4.1.0 you can no longer open the Mod Manager by holding Plus (+). Faster boot times are meant to make up for it. A solution is being looked into by ARCropolis.
Account Link no longer breaks boot on firmware 23.0.0
Fixes #42.
On HOS 23.0.0 the network_mitm sysmodule (4200000000000666) hits std::abort (0xFFE) at boot and the console stops booting entirely. Prelude now refuses to arm the Account Link fallback on firmware 23.0.0 and above, and clears a flag left behind by an earlier build. You get "Not available on firmware 23.0.0 yet" instead of the old, misleading "cannot write to SD card".
We do not build that sysmodule — it comes from W-874/network_mitm — so we cannot fix the abort itself, only stop turning it on.
Already stuck on a console that will not boot? Prelude cannot help you there, because you cannot launch it. Put the SD card in a PC and delete atmosphere/contents/4200000000000666, then boot normally.
If the firmware version cannot be read, nothing is blocked: guessing would deny the fallback to the blank-PRODINFO consoles that actually need it.
Still on firmware 22.5.0 or earlier? Stay there for now. Nintendo changed the system DNS resolver in 23.0.0 and Atmosphère's dns.mitm no longer intercepts it, so Nextendo does not work on 23.x at all yet — account sign-in and games. The fix is written and is coming in Atmosphère 1.12.1. See Atmosphère #2863.
