Fix: the "System update required" popup on firmware 22.5.0.
Since Oct 13, opening the eShop, the NSO applet or Link User showed "To continue, the console needs to be updated". Before those web applets open, the console asks bvc-hac-lp1.cdn.nintendo.net (the browser version check) whether its firmware must update: 200 means "update required", 404 means fine. On Oct 13 (01:00 UTC) Nintendo added 22.5.0 and 23.0.0 to that list. Prelude had no rule for that host, so the console asked Nintendo's real server, which also broke the rule that an emuMMC never talks to Nintendo.
- Redirects
bvc-hac-lp1.cdn.nintendo.netto Nextendo. The server answers 404, so 22.5.0 is no longer told to update. - Update, open Prelude once in Nextendo mode to rewrite the hosts, then fully power off and restart the console (the hosts file is only read at boot).
- Confirmed on a real 22.5.0 console: the popup is gone in the eShop, the NSO applet and Link User.
Please don't update to 23.0.x yet: we have unconfirmed reports that dns.mitm doesn't work on 23.0.0 with the current Atmosphère. Wait for an official release.
