Minecraft Bingo 5.0 - Pre-Release 2

latest releases: 5.2.1, 5.2, 5.2-rc3...
pre-release2 years ago

This is the second pre-release. This pre-release aims to fix some more issues and also tweaks gameplay a bit

Extensive testing in both multiplayer and single player would be appreciated.

Download and installation

This map is made for Minecraft Version 1.16.5. No other version will work
Spigot and Paper are not supported. I recommend FabricMC with Lithium and Phosphor for the best performance. Vanilla works as well.

Singleplayer

  1. Find the file called Bingo 5.0-pre2.zip in assets down below and download it.
  2. Extract/unzip it to your Minecraft saves directory.
  3. When you start Minecraft, you should now find the Bingo map right at the top of your worlds. Just open the map now. You do not need anything else.

Multiplayer

  1. Find the file called Bingo 5.0-pre2.zip in assets down below and download it.
  2. Extract/unzip it in the same directory as your server.jar file is located.
  3. Find the file called server.properties from the assets section below and download it. You can also view it here.
  4. If you already have a customized server.properties file, make sure to copy all the settings present in the downloaded file over. Otherwise, just copy the file in the same directory as your server.jar, replacing it if it is already present.
  5. Just start your server now like you usually would.

Changelog

  • Card seeds are shuffled again to fix a bug that meant certain items would be less likely than they were supposed to be (#117). This should hopefully be the last time seeds change before release.
  • Minor world gen tweaks
  • Improved documentation in the lobby
  • Improved resource pack check on servers
  • Switching gamemodes is no longer prohibited after achieving a blackout (#104)
  • There is an error message now when command blocks are disabled on a server (#50)
  • When switching teams, a check has been added to only make a player join who recently pressed a button. Essentially, this should fix issues of the wrong player getting assigned to a team

  • CracaCG now has a Discord link when you click their sign in the lobby

World generation changes

  • Deep warm oceans generate more like warm oceans now, including sea pickles and coral
  • The cave frequency has been increased in badland type biomes
