WARN: this version supports only Linux and Alpine distros of Linux due to invalid build params for RocksDB - we should deliver a version that will run on other distros tomorrow (1.3.7 or higher)

• fixed a scenario where the node would transition from fast sync into full sync and then would disconnect and try to sync again from a node that went through a chain reorg - in such case Nethermind would try to look back for a common ancestor and sync from there and the state would be missing. Long story short, it is fixed now.

• fixes an issue with finalizing fast blocks sync when remaining blocks have no transactions
• improved sync peers selection by counting downloaded bytes per millisecond instead of latencies
• improved sync conversations with Geth by limiting Geth request sizes
• Added a config switch for Geth limits allowing to chose a mode (with different defaults for various networks)
• Updated pivot blocks for goerli (1800000) and mainnet (9000000)
• Added a queue field to the fast sync - fast blocks to explain the '0' current progress when queues are grwoing
• Fixed receipts download in fast sync mode
• Bodies and receipts downloads during fast sync and bodies downloads during full sync improved / optimized
• Sync mode transitions logging improved
• Removed some of the detailed WARN logs from the fast blocks logs

Running Nethermind:

Nethermind Launcher is a self-contained app - you do not need to install .NET separately to run it.

Linux

2. wget https://github.com/NethermindEth/nethermind/releases/download/1.3.6/nethermind-linux-amd64-1.3.6-cf32180-20191217.zip
3. unzip nethermind-linux-amd64-1.3.6-cf32180-20191217.zip -d nethermind
4. cd nethermind
5. ./Nethermind.Launcher
6. Select desired configuration

Additionally for Ubuntu 16.04

1. sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-toolchain-r/test
2. sudo apt-get update
3. sudo apt-get install gcc-6 g++-6
4. sudo apt install libzstd1

Windows

1. download windows package nethermind-windows-amd64-1.3.6-cf32180-20191217.zip
2. unzip the file
3. run Nethermind.Launcher.exe
4. select desired configuration

macOS

1. download darwin package nethermind-darwin-amd64-1.3.6-cf32180-20191217.zip
2. unzip the file
3. run Nethermind.Launcher
4. select desired configuration
